Google not only offers to track the visitors to your site or the number of page views by providing Google analytic tool but it can be used to see which content gets the most visits, time on site per visit, which ads are driving the most visitors to your site, it track the performances of your marketing campaigns, like Ad Words, Ad sense and emails and much more whereas the Google webmaster tool shows reporting statistics and diagnostics pertaining to the management of your site’s pages in Google index.

It is a customizable website tracking tool that aids users in making well-informed strategic business decisions. You can add up to 100 unique profiles in a Google analytic account so there is no need to apply every filter to one profile or would you ever always want to. One more facility to make these tools easier is, at if you can use Google Analytics to track site data, you can now link your Webmaster Tools verified site to an Analytics profile then you use the same Google Account.

1)      Log into Google Webmaster Tools and on the homepage, click “Manage” next to the site you want, and then pick “Google Analytics profile”.

  • If there is canonicalization issues with the site then you can set the Preferred Domain
